i have to say that one of my favorite christmas television events, mixed in with all the it's a wonderful lifes and santa claus is coming to towns, has to be the victoria's secret fashion show. while it was rather controversial when it first aired a few years ago, i think it is so well done and i just love the way victoria's secret and its designers and artists make underwear so fashionable! there's nothing more feminine and sexy than having pretty undies (every woman should have them!) and this show makes me want to go on an extravagant shopping spree! this year's show featured live music from usher, as well as a full orchestra, a few awesome non-usher songs, lots of beautiful sets, a multi-million dollar bra (that's right - all diamonds and precious gems), and many famous faces lining the runway. enjoy some of my favorite looks:
i love how every year they get super creative with the whole victoria's secret angels theme. this year's wings were made from all sorts of things - including an awesome spiderwebby flowered pair! this look was so romantic and gorgeous. in fact, this whole section was gorgeous. the two purple looks below and the pink one above (my favorite overall, i think) were all featured along with a really awesome chris brown remix. loved it!
the high-waisted panty look was big this year (see below!). it's kind of cool - very retro and dramatic!
random fact: before marrying mariah carey, nick cannon was engaged to this girl, selita ebanks.
