sunday edition #6

"in each of my friends there is something that only some other friend can fully bring out. by myself i am not large enough to call the whole man into activity; i want other lights than my own to show all his facets...in this, friendship exhibits a glorious 'nearness by resemblance' to heaven itself where the very multitude of the blessed (which no man can number) increases the fruition which each of us has of God. for every soul, seeing Him in her own way, doubtless communicates that unique vision to all the rest."

power lunch

i had a meeting this afternoon with some wonderful ladies from the cabarrus county professional women in building organization. we met at the bedford farms design model for lunch, which was just delightful. i miss the days of home arama in charlotte, so i most likely encroached upon my welcome by wandering each floor of the home enjoying all the beautiful staging. the palette of the home was blue, ivory, and brown, and it was a very serene place to spend time meeting. there were cushy couches, gorgeous throws, and giant windows overlooking the woods everywhere. my favorite part, however, was this cute little chair with bird pillows and matching curtains. forgive the small picture i snapped with my blackberry, but i wanted to stay there all day!
